I’m sharing an appetizer that’s sure to please your family, Pimento Cheese Dip. The combination of cheeses, pimentos, red pepper, with a kick of hot sauce and cayenne makes a dip that’s sure to satisfy hungry appetites before dinner.
This dip is great served with crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.
Yield: 10
Baked Pimento Cheese Dip
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup mayo (I use Miracle Whip)
12 oz jar roasted red peppers, drained
2 4 oz jars pimentos, drained
1 8 oz pkg sharp cheese, grated
1 8 oz pkg pepper jack cheese, grated
2 tsp hot sauce
2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp cayenne
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 2 quart baking dish with cooking spray
In the bowl of a food processor, pulse cream cheese until smooth. Add mayo and pulse to combine. Add peppers and pimentos and pulse until coarsely chopped. Add cheese and remaining ingredients and pulse just until combined.
Spoon into prepared dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly and lightly browned.
