4th of July Centerpiece
I crafted a 4th of July centerpiece this week and I’m thrilled with the results. My inspiration came from Plow and Hearth. I thought it would be fun to make my own version.
This is the Plow and Hearth Version.
Here’s my version.
This project was very easy to make. I used scrap lumber and a band saw to cut out two stars, one slightly smaller than the other. I then sanded the stars and painted them.
The blue part that holds the flags is a $6.98 bun foot from Lowe’s. After I bought it I realized that Mr. SP probably could have made one for me for free.
I glued the two stars together and kept them clamped until the stars were dry. Mr. SP used the drill press to drill holes in the sides of the bun foot at an angle for the flags. He then drilled one hole in the top center for the last flag.
I love the outcome of this project and think that my version is even better than the Plow and Hearth one. This centerpiece will also be great to use for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Flag Day.
i like your version better.
it’s beautiful.
three cheers for the red, white & blue!
Adorable!! Yours is DEFINITELY better!

Independence day is seriously right up there with Christmas in my book…warms my heart to celebrate and remember – for both days!!!
