Farmhouse Style Metal Tool Caddies

There’s no denying that Farmhouse is on-trend right now. I love the farmhouse look and recently added two Farmhouse Style Metal Tool Caddies to my home that are perfect for décor in any season.
My caddies, a set of two, are from Emory Valley Mercantile, the on-line shop of the talented Angie from Postcards from the Ridge. Angie’s shop is full of farmhouse style merchandise. Be sure to check it out, you won’t be sorry. Bonus! Use SWEETPEA10 at checkout to get 10%off.
This is the smaller of the two caddies. I am planning to take this caddy to the lake to use on my mantel there.
Three vintage drink bottles hold dried River Oats. The bottles were inherited from my grandmother and were used to transport extra flowers when she took an arrangement to church or to a garden club function.
(Check out how I used Granny’s Vintage Fresca 8-Pack Drink Holder to make a centerpiece here.)
Sycamore bark and lichen cover branch were collected on a recent walk in the woods.
A lake house makes one think of fishing, so this plate will fit in at the lake perfectly.
By the way, I have a slight fish platter obsession. You can see my collection of fish platters here.
This is the larger of the two caddies. I filled it with items that at one time were found in an honest to goodness farmhouse.
The cutting board was hand painted by my great-aunt in the 1980’s. The Rumford Complete Cookbook is a 1933 edition and belonged to my grandmother. The grater is a treasure from Iowa given to me by my neighbor along with all of these farmhouse goodies. The can opener, corn stick pan, and metal scoop are all from my grandmother’s farm on my mom’s side of the family. I found the cork screw in a neighbor’s trash on an early morning run.
The metal piece with scrolls is a gutter hanger from a demolished barn on the family farm where my grandfather grew up. I’m not sure how I acquired the muffin tin and the wooden finial was in a box of “stuff” from my grandmother that my aunt gave me.
I made my burlap and lace table runner last fall and it’s been on my table ever since. It makes a great base for décor in any season. (It was an easy DIY, by the way!)
As summer transitions into fall, I’ll change the décor in my two farmhouse style metal caddies. I love these caddies and honestly could think of a way to use them in most any room in my home. You can order your own set here.
Be sure to come back tomorrow when I share some favorite items from Emory Valley Mercantile! And don’t forget to use SWEETPEA10 at checkout to receive 10% off your order!

They look perfect, Paula. I love those green bottles and all of your vintage goodies.
Thank you, Angie. I love these caddies and know that I will use them for decor year round.
Love how you’ve used the caddies. All the different textures — wonderful!
Thank you! It was fun styling them with my vintage treasures.
Makes for a beautiful farmhouse centerpiece Paula; I do love the green bottles!
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
I love how the light looks when it shines through the green bottles!
I absolutely love those caddies! I come from a farmhouse in Iowa, so you had me at antiques. 🙂 It must feel so good displaying treasures from your family and friends. That’s the best kind of decorating if you ask me! So glad I stopped by today from Inspire Me Monday. ❤
Thank you! I had so much fun styling these caddies and soon I’ll change the display to a fall one.
The caddies are styled beautifully. I love that you have and use so many family treasures.
Thank you! I am so lucky that my grandmother saved everything and that my aunt let me have a lot when she moved into a retirement home.
GREAT way to use metal caddies! I hope you share at Reader Tip Tuesday: http://www.jodiefitz.com/2017/08/08/reader-tip-tuesday-food-craft-party/
Great organizer & decorative ideas….xo
The tool caddies make perfect centerpieces for your farmhouse dining table. I like how you’ve filled them with natural and farmhouse elements.

Thank you! I had fun styling them and soon I’ll change out the display for fall.
I just love the styling options you are offering. Especially partial to the one with the bottles <3!!
I love the way the green bottles catch the light.
I picked up an old tool caddy at an antique mall and I love using it as kitchen decor. I love yours! Thanks for sharing @Vintage Charm!
Old is always better for me. You can’t beat the patina of age! I have an old toolbox that my dad made that we keep on our porch to hold our dog’s leashes, etc.
Guess had better start saving my pennies and whatever else can come up with, oh my, love those caddies so much. Can make so many arrangements, use for so many purposes, am ashamed, am drooling for these. Silly old lady. I also love those green bottles. Our local Goodwill have started charging a lot for bottles, any bottles.
You have great talent for staging items, wonderful ideas.
Enjoy your weekend
Thank you! I also love the caddies and know that I’ll really enjoy decorating for fall with them.
