Outdoor Summer Tablescape – Pinterest Challenge
For this month’s Pinterest Challenge we each created a summer tablescape.
Before we get into the table, I have a prayer request. Cancer has been found in my mom’s colon and liver. Tests have been done and now we’re waiting to see what her treatment plan will be.
For each month’s Pinterest Challenge, Cindy from County Road 407 picks a theme and then selects a picture from Pinterest to use as our inspiration.
Our job is to create our own version of the inspiration picture.

Outdoor Summer Tablescape
The setting for my summer tablescape is our backyard.
Dining out here is pure pleasure.
For the centerpiece, I filled milk glass vases with Yarrow, Garlic, and Virginia Sweetspire.
These vases are now in my kitchen and I am enjoying them immensely.
l made the placemats. The plates are from Walmart, the charger from Hobby Lobby, and the napkins were inherited from my grandmother.
After the pictures were taken, I realized that I forgot to set my table with glasses.

One of the first things that caught my eye were the adorable placemats. I thought how fun and unique. Then I read you made them. Of course you did. 😉 I love that they are patterned differently on the sides. And those vases are fantastic. Hope to see them in your kitchen one day. Loved your tablescape and the great idea of adding blankets to the chairs. We have similar chairs and I’ve done that in the winter but never thought to do it during summer. I love it! That color combination of flowers against the white vases is so pleasing, Paula. I didn’t know you were so handy with the sewing machine either. Never would’ve guessed you made the placemats! I think our tables should get together because you said you forgot glasses (not that I noticed), but I forgot flatware! Wish I could sit and visit with you at your pretty table.
Now I don’t feel so bad and I never noticed the missing flatware when I read your post.

Paula, first, prayers for your mom. You all have been through so much. I love your backyard. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the view before. It’s beautiful. The flowers in the vases are gorgeous. I think my favorite thing are your grandmother’s napkins – the blue color and the pretty lace trim. I hope setting the table took your mind off other things for awhile.
