A Southern Charm Christmas – Porches
Today I’m sharing the Christmas decor on our front porch and also in our sunroom.
I’m sharing my Christmas porches along with 10 other blogging friends for a Christmas Porch Tour hosted by my friend, Amy, from Atta Girl Says.

Christmas on the Front Porch
I love making the outside of our home look festive for Christmas. Having wreaths on the windows and door, a garland, and decorated urns make my heart happy.
A Christmas doormat is also a must-have for the holidays.
Mama and I had plans to make Christmas wreaths the day after Thanksgiving, but thanks to my Thrifty Style Team friends, I didn’t need to make a wreath because they sent this beauty from Lynch Creek Farm.
To decorate the urns, I gathered Magnolia from the yard, Cedar from our lake house neighborhood, and Red Twig Dogwood that I clipped in Jackson Hole.
Christmas in the Sunroom
For the first time in a long, long time, our sunporch does not have a Christmas tree.
In early summer, we moved this futon from our lake house to our sunroom and purchased two chairs from Big Lotts. This change very much increased our enjoyment of this sunroom. When it is warm enough I love to read or nap on the futon.
I love decorating my vintage tv stand for the season.
The original art over the tv stand was a gift from my very good friend who used to work in an estate store. This will be enjoyed on the porch all winter.
The tv stand is decorated with a The Night Before Christmas book that my 1st-grade teacher gave me, a vintage Santa candle, a bottlebrush tree, and a wooden reindeer that I bought at a craft show when I was in college.
Note that Santa has an evil expression on his face.
To the left of the door is a Santa painting on a slate roof tile from a barn in Giles County, Virginia. I purchased this at a crafts show years ago.
Displayed on the milk can turned into a table between the two chairs are two vintage thermoses and a vintage Santa mug filled with peppermint sticks.
Pillows from Big Lots decorate the futon.
A corner is decorated with a vintage Santa blow mold, a vintage red cooler, and a handmade snowflake, a gift from my friend Wendi of H2O Bungalow.
I love having my porch decorated for Christmas and it’s so much fun to enjoy the decorations every time we leave or enter our home.
