Garden Shots
I love the colors of Dahlias. I lost most of my tubers last year due to the drought. I ordered ten new tubers and only four plants survived. My grandmother grew huge patches of these in her garden to use for flower arrangements for church and for garden club. I think Dahlias might me my favorite flower.
These Anemones came from my grandmother’s house. The deer usually eat them, but I kept them sprayed with Liquid Fence this year and I’ve got blooms to enjoy. The white looks great in the bed surrounded by gold mums.
I do love this time of the year.. Dahlias always steal the show in the fall.
Mary, Mary, not quite contrary, your garden grows beautifully! Those are GREAT…I love dahlias, too, and wish I had some in my yard!

Such pretty pictures! The Kill Devil Grill is on the main beach road- name escaping me right now.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful! Love them all. The traditional flowers truly are the best.
Dahlias rank up there as one of my favorite flowers. They do well where I live (So Cal coast). I can go crazy and buy LOTS but my budget always holds me back. Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing!
I love dahlias! They remind me of my great aunt Nodie, she grew beautiful dahlias.
