Coaster and Notepad Gift Set
Blogland has been full of great tutorials on how to make coaster sets. I have a whole box of white tiles left over from our bathroom remodel and knew that this was a project that I really wanted to try. I cut scrapbook paper to size and applied it with Modge Podge. Can you believe that this was my first ever Modge Podge project? After it was dry, I sealed the tiles with acrylic sealer, and finally glued cork to the bottom of each tile.
For the notepad, I cut the scrapbook paper to the size of the tab at the top of pad and simply glued it into place. So simple, and so cute!
Each tile is different, using a square of each of the papers shown below.
I’m linking this project to Jen at Tater Tots and Jello and Jerri at Simply Sweet Home for their Holly Blogging Christmas Bash. I’m also linking it to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphosis Monday and Kimba and A Soft Place to Land for Do it Yourself Day.
So cute, Paula!!! I like the paper, too!

Paula, I really like your paper colors! I am hoping to do this sometime, too. I have a new bottle of Modge Podge and a friend who is an expert. Y’all make it look so easy.
I’m in Stowe which is really no where! LOL! I hope those two places you visit in Vermont are south near the border of NY or NH…I’ve never heard of them, but I don’t know much at all about VT. Enjoy…if you like snow there is plenty here now.
Paula-You did a great job! I have never used modge podge either 🙂 I love the patterns and colors–What a good Christmas gift.
I’m going to bookmark this page…I need gift ideas for my cousin’s girlfriend & those notepads might be just the thing!
Excellent Idea!
Cute cute cute, Paula! Do you mind me asking where you get acrylic sealer and about how much it runs?? This is a great project! Did you have to sand the edges of the papers down at all after you MP’d it to the tile?
Cute idea, i love this project.

I love the papers you’ve chosen, they look like they’re from the same line and coordinate nicely. You’ve got a great gift that your receipients will love.
