Easter 2012
We couldn’t have asked for a prettier Easter Sunday here in Virginia. Not only was it Easter, it was Mr. SP’s birthday and Mama’s birthday on Saturday. We celebrated Easter and the two birthdays at Walnut Avenue.
Mama used Granny’s china to set a really pretty table full of good food.
A southern meal isn’t complete without iced tea.
After lunch we went for a walk on the tree streets.
The gardens behind this house are incredible.
Mama knows the owner from Women’s Club who told us we could look around anytime we want, so we did. This yard is incredibly beautiful.
After our walk we enjoyed delicious strawberry shortcake.
Mr. SP’s serving included a birthday candle!
It was a very nice Easter weekend and now I’ve got the entire week off for spring break. Yippee! The week will be a much needed break from school. I’m looking forward to working around the house and in my yard.
Hope your Easter was a good one!
Oh what a special day. Looks like everyone had a great time. Hugs, Marty
Glad you had a wonderful Easter and love seeing your wonderful snaps! The table looks so good.

Happy birthday to your loved ones! What a special weekend y’all had. Beautiful!
Hope your spring break is wonderful!
What a lovely Easter table and walking tour.
A very nice Easter indeed. I’d love to take a closer look at your Granny’s china, have you featured it yet? Your table setting is beautiful and the Women’s Club house is G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S!!!! Not to change the subject, hubby planted garlic bulbs some time last fall (thanks to your post) and they’re so tall now but we know they won’t be ready until they turn brown, right? When do you think they might be ready for harvest? We’re getting so anxious!! 🙂
Y’all look so happy Paula and that shortcake looks fabulous.
What a pretty table! I hope the birthday boy and girl had a great day!
xo,
RJ
Happy belated birthday to all!
Those gardens are lovely. Love the hosta beds!
