Happy 2010!
Happy New Year! I wonder how long it will take me to get used to writing 2010 instead of 2009? I hope everyone had a safe and happy time last night celebrating the end of the decade and the beginning of a new one.
We went to a dinner/dance at our club and had a good time. We spent a good part of the evening hiding out in the grill room watching VT stomp Tennessee. I’m not a football fan at all, but I really wanted Tech to win after their poor performance the last two times they played in Atlanta.
Mr. SP wore his new bowtie and cumberbund. Both of our teams won their bowl game this week!
Some of my tennis buddies were there last night including Becky, a teaching friend from school.
We danced a bunch even though the band was only ok. Every good song like Brick House or Sweet Home Alabama was just a little bit off. Still fun though! The guy in the white shirt in the center of the picture below could really cut a rug. I’ve never seen anything quite like his dancing style.
And just because, here’s a shot of my dress and shoes. I got the dress for $39.99 at Dress Barn and the shoes for ~$20(a long time ago) at Payless. (Yes, my tree is still up!)
I did a little New Year’s display in my dining room. I won’t keep it like this for long because I really don’t like it that much, but I do like to decorate when I can with vintage postcards. The one with the lady and fan is 1909.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! And what a fun night you had, you both look wonderful:)
I love your New Years display. Looking forward to more of your creativity in 2010,
Cheers!
Now aren’t you just the cutest? And you have those….arms….the ones we all wish we had! I’ve just started a new obsession with antique postcards — My New Year’s one is from 1907 — Love seeing them on everyone’s blog and at least they seem to be a rather affordable collection…for now anyway.
Happiest of New Year’s to you — looking foward to much fun catching up with everyone in 2010.
Dahling, you look FABULOUS!!!!!
Happy Year!!
Paule you looked lovely and Mr. looked very handsome in his new ie and CB. We are on our way to the mountains for a day of skiing and snow fun. New Years tradition.
Happy 2010.
You look wonderful. Love the dress.
You look wonderful. Love the dress.
Go Hokies!
I’m obviously way late in commenting (I’m trying to catch up with my blog reading!), but you both looked fabulous! You are so lucky to have such a fun event to attend.
