Hawaiian Kabobs
Are you looking for a grilling recipe for Father’s Day? This recipe is a family favorite. My mom discovered it in Southern Living back in the 1980’s and she’s been making it ever since. I can’t tell you how many times our family has enjoyed this over the years. My dad used to do a lot of the cooking and this was one of his favorite things to make for the grill. It works perfectly with chicken, steak, or venison. I wish my dad were still around so that I could make this for him for Father’s Day.

Instructions
Hawaiian Kabobs
Marinade:
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 T brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp ground pepper
Kabobs:
Meat (Chicken, Steak, Venison)
1 (15 1/4 oz) can unsweetened pineapple chunks, drained
Fresh Mushrooms
Green Pepper Chunks (I omitted)
Cherry Tomatoes (I omitted)
Procedure:
Combine first 8 ingredients in a sauce pan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes; let cool. Pour mixture into a shallow dish; add meat, tossing gently to coat. Cover and marinate at least 1 hour in the refrigerator, stirring mixture occasionally.
Remove meat from marinade and thread on skewers. (I like to put the meat on skewers separately from the other ingredients.)
Steak!
Grill!

That sounds so good!!
For sure gonna try this out this weekend…we are some grilling fools so I know this is going to be added the those recipes we have.
My mouth is watering just looking at those pics.
Paula, this does sound good. I have used the same kabob recipe for years. It will be fun to try your new one. Yes, I wish I still had my dad to fix this for. I’m very thankful to still have my mother! 🙂
