Homemade Brown Sugar Scrub
Is the combination of the cold weather and indoor heat doing a number on your skin? I can’t seem to use enough lotion this time of year! My easy-to-make Brown Sugar Scrub will soften your hands or feet in just one use. It also is great to use on elbows, knees, or any other body part that could use softening this time of year.
Brow Sugar Scrub requires only four ingredients: equal parts brown sugar and turbinado sugar, almond oil, and a few drops of essential oil in your choice of scent.
I love lemon scented anything, so the batch of Brown Sugar Scrub that I recently made for my friends is lemon scented.
Making Brown Sugar Scrub is simple. Mix equal parts brown and turbinado sugar until blended. Add almond oil until the mixture is the desired consistency. Be sure not to add too much oil. Add drops of essential oil until the scent is perfect.
I packaged my Brown Sugar Scrub mix for my friends in small lidded containers that are a size perfect for one use.
I tied each container with a raffia ribbon and added a tag that I found here.
My hands and feet are now butter soft thanks to using this scrub. I hope my friends enjoy this treat!

Thanks, Kathy. I just used the last bit that I had leftover in my mixing bowl and my hands are so soft. I should have saved a bit for my feet.

Oh I love making my own sugar scrubs!!!
What a great present – especially this time of year. My skin is always so dry and cracking I feel like I am putting on lotion every other minute. I’m going to have to give this a try!
Cute idea! Where did you find the little containers?
KK @ Preppy Pink Crocodile
The containers are petri dishes that I borrowed from school. Shhh….
Oh I could go for that right now, Paula! Pinning!
I’ve made sugar scrubs before but never with brown sugar. I like the looks of the brown.
I love that! You should open a shop and sell it! I love the way you packaged it too. You’re such a nice friend.
