Homestyle Gathering

One of my daily pleasures is to read blogs.  I get so much inspiration for decorating, recipes, crafts, and even travel from fellow bloggers.

My friends Kim from Serving Up Southern and Julie from My Wee Abode asked me to be a guest hostess for this week’s Homestyle Gathering party.

Being a guest hostess means that I had the pleasure of selecting the features for this week’s party.  I know that you’ll be inspired by the features that I selected and that you’ll enjoy browsing through this week’s links for more project inspiration.

Welcome to Homestyle Gathering!

Hi!  I’m Paula and I’m delighted to be a guest host for this week’s Homestyle Gathering party.  I blog at Sweet Pea where I share DIY projects, decorating with vintage, recipes, fashion, and occasionally a post about gardening or travel.  I’m a homebody and I’m happiest when I’m home with my husband and dog working on a project.

A fun fact for you is that Kim and I live in the same general area of Virginia.  We haven’t yet met in person, but we hope to do so soon.  Julie and I chat with each other on Facebook and also Instagram and I hope to one day meet her in person as well.

Homestyle Gathering is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Bloggers, link-up your posts for a chance to be one of the five features for next week.  You may also be chosen as a guest host, normally every 4th party.

And now for this week’s features:

French style farmhouse kitchen styled for spring

Lacey and Kim, a mother daughter duo from Styled with Lace, shared Kim’s Elegant Farmhouse Spring to Summer Kitchen.  Kim’s kitchen is so beautiful and she also shares the decor in her sunroom.

Tea party in a backyard featuring Texas bluebonnets.

Judith from Botanic Bleu shared a tea party in her garden showcasing her Texas Bluebonnets in full bloom.  I’ve heard of Texas Bluebonnets my entire life and I enjoyed seeing Judith’s in bloom and I also enjoyed her tea party table.

DIY garden screen trellis with DIY hanging lanterns

Kippi from Kippi at Home shared a beautiful garden screen trellis that she DIY’d for her yard.  She added lanterns and hanging baskets to her trellis and the end result is amazing.

Master bedroom makeover reveal for the One Room Challenge

Benita from Chasing Quaintness shared her master bedroom makeover reveal.  I love the color pallete that she used, the board and batten that she added, and the creative way that she added art over her bed.

Hanging basket planted with summer annual plants.

Pam from Busy Lifestyle Gal shared the secret to planting a great hanging basket.  I’m itching to change out all of my planters from pansies to summer annual plants and when I do, Pam’s tips will be helpful to remember to make my containers look their best.

Many thanks to Kim and Julie for inviting me to be a guest host for this week’s Homestyle Gathering party.  I enjoyed picking this week’s features and found some new-to-me blogs to start following.
