Lake Dreaming
It’s been warm here the past two weekends. Our boat is still winterized and wrapped in plastic, but it didn’t stop us from going to the lake to enjoy the sun.
Last weekend we toured a few properties for sale, each of which has incredible views. Unfortunately, unless we win the lottery, we won’t be able to purchase any of them. This property has a small cabin that is just barely usable.
Property #2 has this view from the dock.
I could sit on the porch of property #3 forever taking in this view.
Property #4’s view is also incredible. Wouldn’t you like to sit on the party deck of this dock with a cocktail?
Property #5 also has a nice view but it is on a very busy channel. It was peaceful last Sunday, but once it is warm, this area is highly trafficked.
I took bunches of house pictures and could do posts on them if anyone is interested. I personally am very nosy and love to go on house tours. Let me know if you’d be interested in a series of posts featuring the houses that go along with the views.
Can you tell that we are big dreamers? We have champagne taste on a beer budget. Looking is free, so we enjoy doing just that.
Mr. SP would love to have a new boat. Ours is old and is starting to make some suspicious noises and I think that he is a bit worried about it. I enjoyed sitting in this one yesterday while he poked around the marina. This is my favorite spot to ride in the boat. I call it my summer time office!
I could see a bit of the water, making this a pleasant spot to sit while he looked.
What did you do this weekend? Today will be full of chores for us since yesterday was full of play. Our yard is number one on the priority list and we also are helping a friend stage her house which goes up for sale tomorrow. Weekends are the best, especially when they are as nice as this one has been.
I just love these pics. I had no idea Smith Mt Lake looked like that..we went to a public beach where we went there…those mts are GORGEOUS!! Have fun…hope you hit the Lottery!!!!!!Then I’ll come visit!!
It is fun to dream!!
Our weather has been super nice as well. Actually, I took a walk in the neighborhood early evening yesterday and it was almost hot. But, today is much more seasonal.
Have a great Sunday Paula.
We still have frozen lakes here and what did I do this weekend? One of the things I did now has me sitting in a chair with a load of aspirin. I was dog sitting at my sons and was so tired of the 2.5 feet of dirty snow still on their deck so I shoveled it over the edge. Now I’m a little over the edge. Hopefully in the next two weeks the ice will be melted and we’ll see open water again. It’s nice to see your part of the country Paula and its beginnings of spring.
I am so ready for lake weather! I would love to have lake property, too, but my budget wouldn’t allow for that. Thanks for sharing the great pictures! Have a great week! Carla
I enjoyed your trip better than mine!
I agree it would be wonderful to have a cabin on the lake! Relaxing is what comes to mind! It looks like you had a fun day, better then my weekend of cleaning and weeding 🙂
Hope you have a good week.
Wendy
P.S.(My mom said maybe in July a product will be available to use against our “friend” the stink bug…lets keep our fingers crossed!)
Paula you are the best!! So glad to find another dreamer and adventurer!!
Come and enter to win my luscious Bath & Body giveaway!

Can’t wait for all of your lake photos this year!
I love house tours! Go for it. 🙂 I wouldn’t want to live on a highly trafficked part of the lake either. If I was planning a lake life, I’d want quiet. 😉
Those are gorgeous views! I would love to see some “tours in photos” from houses you look at!
This weekend I was in Portland. It was a great time!
I’m also very nosy, would love to see house tour. the views were awesome…thanks for sharing….Pat H
