Late Spring Display Using a Thrifty Treasure
I put together a display for my dining room using my new thrifted mushroom bowl. I’ve had the rabbits out since before Easter and I love how they look in this vignette with the nest and mushroom. A teacher once gave me the nest to use in my classroom. I didn’t tell her that after I showed it to the kids I took it home to use for decorating.
This piece of furniture was Granny’s and so was the fruit print hanging over it. Mama bought the lamp at an antique shop, the shade is not antique.
I love putting a thrifty treasure into use in my home!
I’m sharing this for Tabletop Tuesday at Marty’s A Stroll Thu Life.
And at Beth’s The Stories from A to Z.
Good Morning Paula…
Sweetie, lovely vignette. I can’t decide which piece I love more. The nest and the little bowl together are just precious, and I love the mushroom you threw in for good measure. Just precious sweetie.
Your picture is breath taking that belonged to your Granny, I love it. Thank you for sharing this morning.
Have a beautiful day. Country hugs…Sherry
How sweet! I’ve left a couple of my bunnies out too – they’re not just for Easter. Love your nest and how you’ve used your new mushroom plate — and that big mushroom too. Your grandmother’s table and picture are so pretty — I love family thing that bring me such happy memories.
Paula, I love the whole thing! The chest and the print are just beautiful- so warm and inviting. Great job!
xoxo Pattie
This is so cute, Paula. I was wondering if it was acceptable to leave my bunnies out after Easter, but since you are…
I love the little nest!

Hi Paula.. This is just a darling little setting. I love how you’ve changed the bunnies from looking Eastery to spring with the addition of the mushrooms and the nest.
I sure got a grin over your story about taking the nest home to decorate with! 😉 Cute!

Oh such a beautiful vignette. I love the new plate with the bunnies and nest. Your grandmother’s chest and picture are perfect together, and your tray just compliments the whole look. I hope you will link this to Table Top Tuesday. It is perfect and I know others would enjoy the inspiration. I will have Mr. Linky up this evening. Hugs, Marty
Cute little mushroom bowl – love the vignette 🙂
oh I love how you used the plate in your spring vignette. Love the old picture also hanging up. I have been keeping my eye open for some like that. My parents had a group of flowers like that I wish I could find.
Love it!! You are so good at vignettes. I need to go to vignette school. 😉
Your bunnies look so comfy and at home in their little vignette. Your grandmother’s funrniture piece is a treasure. So nice to have family things. Thanks for sharing. Stella
Hi Paula, I love your vignette! It looks so fresh and “springy” (is that a word? – lol!) …looks perfect! I love the table & chairs from your grandmother…makes it even more precious!

What a lovely vignette! I love the bunnies too and think they can be out all year round too! The nest is so sweet – how I’d love to have a real one! Nothing like thrifty things. We all get so much inspiration form each other. Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
