A Most Magnificent Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day! I spent a wonderful day with my mom. We started the day at her church located in the beautiful Rockfish Valley. Humpback Rock, found along the Blue Ridge Parkway, can be seen directly to the right of the steeple. It’s a great hike with a pretty view if you are ever in the area.
After church, we had lunch at Stony Creek overlooking a pretty golf course.
We then headed to Mama’s farm to check on things. She has one man who rents her property and another who rents the house. She drops by from time to time to make sure that everything is as it should be. I hadn’t been there in nearly two years. Her property has some of the prettiest views to be found.
The guy who rents Mama’s house wasn’t home, so we decided to jump on his trampoline!
After visiting the farm, we visited with my aunt and uncle, and then went to see a couple from church who invited us over to see their property. This couple’s yard is incredible. They have over twenty acres and an unbelievable amount is landscaped with beautiful flower beds.
The view from here is nearly the same as the view from church. 
A huge deck wraps around the back of the house and is a great place to relax and enjoy the yard and view.
Best of all, they have a cat who prays named Deacon. I got a real kick out of this!

Absolutely stunning pictures. It indeed was a wonderful day in central VA. What a great way to spend a beautiful day with those you hold dear to your heart. Your mom is hilarious. The cute cat looks like a wanna be squirrel.

I didn’t jump on a trampoline but it was a good day here at the lake with my older daughter and her friends from Savannah.
