Stitch Fix Review for September 2019 – Fix #73
Welcome to September! I can’t believe that I am actually typing September. This summer loving gal isn’t ready to let go of summer and admit that fall is on its way. Ready or not, fall is coming, and this month’s Stitch Fix box was filled with items perfect to wear as I transition to the new season.
I am a Stitch Fix affiliate and if you make a purchase, I make a small commission. My love for Stitch Fix is genuine and all opinions are truthful and my own.

Stitch Fix Details
- Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up for Stitch Fix, you fill out a detailed style profile that helps your stylist know your likes and dislikes. Since I’ve received 73 Stitch Fix shipments, my stylist knows my likes and dislikes very well and I almost always like every item in my Fix, a good problem to have!
- When a Fix arrives, you have three days to try the clothes on and to decide what to keep and what to send back. Stitch Fix includes a postage paid envelope making returns super easy.
- When you sign up for Stitch Fix, you can choose how often a box is delivered. You can pick a monthly options or schedule a box when you’d like to receive one.I do not like shopping and love receiving clothing from Stitch Fix. I get clothes that I like without having to do any work other than pinning things that I like to my fashion board on Pinterest. My stylist, Brittany H., checks my Pinterest board for inspiration and also reads my note to her each month to see if I have any special requests.
- You can find links to all of my Fixes here and also be sure to check out my Stitch Fix Review Board on Pinterest where I pin my favorite looks.
This Month’s Stitch Fix Items
I did not keep anything from my last two Stitch Fix boxes but that streak ended with the arrival of my September box. My stylist, Brittany H., did a great job of selecting items for me to try this month even though I didn’t help her out at all by leaving a note with requests or by pinning ideas to the board she checks on Pinterest before styling my Fix.
Let’s see what Brittany sent my way for September.
Collective Concepts Maire Wrap Front Smock Detail Blouse
When I received an email that this Fix was on the way, I immediately looked at the Stitch Fix app on my phone to see what was coming. This Collective Concepts Maire Wrap Front Smock Detail Blouse caught my eye and was the item that I was most looking forward to receiving.
When this blouse arrived, I tried it on and liked it immediately. I love its color, floral pattern, wrap style, and its gathered ruffled bottom.
Even though this is sleeveless, I can wear it into fall by adding a sweater. This top will be a great addition to my wardrobe.
Verdict: Keep
Tribal Kimora Cut Out Detail Pull on Pant
I paired the Collective Concepts Maire Wrap Front Smock Detail Blouse with the Tribal Kimora Cut Out Detail Pull on Pant also from this Fix. When I saw that white pants were coming in this Fix, I wasn’t terribly excited about receiving them. When I tried these pants on, they were so comfortable that I immediately liked them.
These pants are stretchy, have a slightly high waist, and have no button or zipper. They are so comfortable and I think the cut out detail on the bottom is super cute.
The purse that I’m carrying is the Sole Society Nikole Circle Crossbody from my June 2018 Fix.
All of the other jewelry that I’m wearing in this post is from Rocksbox. Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription service that sends three pieces of jewelry that you can wear for as long as you like each month. When you send your three pieces back, or buy what you like, a new box is sent. If you’d like a free month of Rocksbox, sign up with this code: PAULABFF54. I rejoined Rocksbox a year ago in January and I love their service. I’ve received the cutest jewelry and have purchased quite a few items.
Verdict: Keep
Sanctuary Nola Ruffle Detail Top
The next item that I tried on from this Fix was the Sanctuary Nola Ruffle Detail Top.
I love the fit of this top and yellow is a great color for transitioning into fall. I can wear this with shorts or a skirt as well as pants. When It gets a bit colder, I can add a sweater or jacket.
I like how this top looks with white pants but think that it will also look great with jeans or black pants.
The only issue that I had with this blouse was the arm elastic. It felt a tiny bit tight to me but not tight enough that it would keep me from wearing it.
Verdict: Keep
Colette Tao Hooded Knit Top
I’ve mentioned multiple times when writing Stitch Fix reviews that I don’t care for hoods because they catch my hair and create a nice rats nest. When I saw that this hoodie was coming, I wasn’t terribly excited about receiving it.
When I tried it on, Mr. SP’s comment was, “That outfit is perfect for vacation.” We are going back to Vermont this October to see the foliage and this hoodie will be perfect for hiking, car travel, or doing touristy things.
Not only will this hoodie be good for our upcoming Vermont trip, it will be great to wear all fall with jeans.
Verdict: Keep
Beyond Yoga Harlow Space-Dye Capri Legging
I own a lot of leggings. To be honest, in cooler months, I tend to wear them all day everyday. I do not need another pair of leggings but when I tried on the Beyond Yoga Harlow Space-Dye Capri Legging, I decided that there was room in my drawer for another pair.
These leggings have a high waist and they are very supportive, almost like wearing a gentle girdle. What I mean is that they suck in all of the loose spots and feel great while doing so.
These leggings will be great for a workout, a hike, or just to wear casually.
Verdict: Keep

How ironic that the one time you didn’t post requests you bought the whole box. Maybe Brittany knows you better than you know yourself. LOL
I thought that was pretty ironic myself! I really don’t like shopping, so it’s nice for Brittany to do the picking for me and then I can just say yes or no to each piece.

Wow! You bought them all! And they all look terrific on you….but, I almost always think the clothes look good on you, even when you don’t buy them! Happy September!
You are so sweet, Rita. I am glad to have a few new things to enjoy wearing this fall.
Paula
Everything looked great on you glad you kept them all .
Thank you, Laura! I was happy to get to add a few new things to my wardrobe.

These are all great picks, and I especially like the yellow top. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
Great box! My favorites are the two tops and white jeans, but it was all good. It’s so funny I’d see this today. Last night I was on Pinterest (something I do most nights once I crawl into bed) and I saw a ton of your StitchFix posts. I may have asked you this once before, but where in VA do you live? I was born and raised in Richmond. We left in 2010 due to my husbands job. Thanks for joining our linkup!

You look stunning in the wrap top and the yellow blouses. Great looks.
These are cute pieces. Love the yellow top and the floral top.
I love all your Stitch Fix items. Especially the wrap sleeveless blouse and the ruffle detail blouse. Also, loved that you styled it white. Perfect look. I am a Stitch Fix subscriber and always excited when my box arrives.
All the outfits look amazing! I especially like the Collective Concepts blouse, so gorgeous! I wish we had Stitch Fix in Australia – that would be so helpful.
These are really great pieces! I can see why you kept all 5 pieces. Those white cut out pants are so adorable. And all of these colors in the tops look amazing on you!
