Thrifty Treasures
Last weekend Mama and I were in an antique shop in Staunton when I spied something that made my heart pitter patter just a bit – a Christmas themed punch sets from the 1950’s for only $10.00!
The cups say “Egg Nog” on one side and “Jingle Bells” on the other.
This makes my third punch set so I guess I now officially have a collection. I tucked this away and will have a happy surprise when I rediscover it in December.
I’m sharing with Rhoda’s Thrifty Treasures Party at Southern Hospitality.
I love when the holidays come and I find something I bought over the year…it is a great surprise. These are darling! SO vintagy! How nice to have such a sweet day with your mother!
XO,
Jane

Paula what a find! How lucky to find set #3.
You find the best stuff! I love it! It looks like something my grandma would’ve used for her Christmas get together. Love it! Congrats on your find!
lucky you! I love treasure hunts when I actually come up with something!
I hate to say it but I remember those types of sets but since you already know how old I am I guess it doesn’t matter!
OMG!!! What an amazing find, Paula!! The girls and I went out yard saling on Saturday. The only thing I came home with was two oufits for Michaela Byrd, and wasn’t for lack of trying. There just wasn’t anything out there. :s You did great!!
Very cute 🙂
That’s such a neat set! Imagine all the fun you can have with that at Christmas … it’s perfect for entertaining or for a fun drink while decorating the tree. I love it!
What a great find! Love that punch bowl set. So cute. Thanks for sharing. Karie
Merry Christmas to you! What a sweet find! It is actually something that I’ve had on my wish list for years, but I’ve never seen a deal like that…I just have one wee little mug. Congratulations!

Love your eggnog punch bowl. I love all things vintage for Christmas. Just makes me think of my childhood.
Been catching up on your blog since I have been away…just haven’t had much time to blog surf. I have missed all your post but just got caught back up. Ok I am a stalker…full fledge!
Loved seeing all the beautiful homes and gardens! I also just bought lots of plants and shrubs for our home.
Cute easter decor…especially the little baskets. Those were adorable.
Congrats on winning the hairbow…my Lexi loves bows, so we have been making a few lately.
Oh and the bridal party next door looked like lots of fun…the flowers were beautiful!
Last but not least…the five flavor pound cake…made a copy and plan on making this weekend…this looks divine!!! Can’t wait to taste it!
i could comment on everything i’ve just read-your double petunias are gorgeous (hopefully that’s not what the squirrels are going after), this kitschy set is adorable, and i LOVE cirque du soleil. watching open mouthed is pretty normal-i’ve been lucky enough to see O (the one with the water and diving) and love (the beatles one). i’d love to see more!
