Traditional Flocked Christmas Tree with Swarovski Snowflake Ornaments
Our formal living room is decorated with a traditional flocked Christmas tree with Swarovski snowflake ornaments.
I’m sharing my traditional flocked Christmas tree with Swarovski snowflake ornaments with a talented group of blogging friends who are also sharing their Christmas trees for the 5th Annual Christmas Tree Decor Blog hop hosted by Michelle of Our Crafty Mom.
You’ll find links to all of the Christmas trees shared today at the end of this post.
Traditional Flocked Christmas Tree with Swarovski Snowflake Ornaments
My husband has given me a Swarovski snowflake ornament every year since 1994 and I love hanging them on our Christmas tree.
After Christmas, I hang them on a wood tree that we made (see it here) and enjoy them through March.
Last year was my first year with this flocked tree and I decorated it with a winter wonderland theme.
This year I used red plaid ribbon, red berries, Swarokski snowflakes, and plastic snowflakes to decorate my tree.
When Mr. SP first started giving me Swarovski snowflake ornaments in 1994, the ribbon color was blue.
At some point, the ribbon color changed to white.
The 2021 ornament brings another change. Isn’t this gorgeous?
Traditional Flocked Christmas Tree with Swarovski Snowflake Ornaments at Night
Our mantel wreath and garland are decorated to coordinate with the tree. They all look so pretty at night.
I so much enjoyed sharing our tree with you. Now it is time to see the trees that my blogging friends are sharing.

Thank you so much, Libbie! It is pretty at night and also in the early morning. As I type, I can see a bit of the wreath and garland which makes me very happy.
I LOVE your tree, Paula… it looks just lovely! Two questions… On this year’s ornament, did they only change the charm, or is the ribbon changed, too? It makes sense they would change to white, so it will coordinate with everything. Also, where did you get your tree, and what type is it (i.e., noble fir or ?)
Thank you so much, Julie! The ornament has a different ribbon and the charm is new, too. I got the tree from Home Depot and the wreath and garland from Lowe’s. I don’t know the type of tree.
Your flocked tree with swarovski snowflakes is so stunning, Paula. I just love that each snowflake represents another year with Mr. SP. That’s the most special part of this tree. You’ve convinced me that I need to try decorating a flocked tree next year. It looks magical with your plaid ribbon!
Thank you so much, Crissy! I really love this tree and love it even more since this year I added a flocked wreath and garland to match.

Paula, I know you already know but I was very happy to feature your beautiful Christmas tree with all your pretty Swarovski crystal decorations!! (SYS #328 this past Wednesday). I have several crystal ornaments and they just add such nice sparkle to the tree or hanging from our chandelier(s – over the years)!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, are feeling well and fingers crossed/prayers answered that you’ll be heading up to Mass for the trials shortly.
Big Christmas hugs,
Barb 🙂
I feel great! I had chemo on Wednesday and the only side effect I have is fatigue. I slept 11 hours last night. I’m now doing a brand new clinical trial in Fairfax, VA that will start the week of January 3. I’m in the very first group which is very exciting.
