Two Fall Wreaths
Today is the first day of fall! I’ve been slowly adding touches of fall to my home and recently made two fall wreaths, one for each of of the main doors that we use.
I made this wreath for our front door.
I’m sharing my wreath as part of a fall ideas tour. Today eight bloggers are sharing their fall wreaths. The tour started on Monday, so be sure to follow the links at the bottom of this post to enjoy the fall mantels shared on Monday and the tablescapes shared on Tuesday. Tomorrow you can check out the thrifty crafts that are shared.
For this year’s front door wreath, I started with a grapevine base and wired on layers of faux leaves, flower and grass blooms, cattails and added a plaid bow in fall colors.
I’ve pulled out my summer annuals and added mums to my front porch urns and can’t wait to buy some pumpkins and gourds to also display on my porch.
Are Chippendale doors popular in your town? They are in mine! Just about every house in my neighborhood has a door with a Chippendale design. A local hardware store made ours and Mr. SP made a matching one for our porch. You can see how to make Chippendale railings here.
I love fall displays and really enjoy seeing those of my neighbors when I’m walking my dog. I hope my neighbors feel the same way about my porch.
I couldn’t let my front porch be alone in having a new wreath for fall so I made a second wreath for the door on our deck that leads to our kitchen. We live on a corner, so when neighbors walk by they see my front door and they see my deck door. Since they see both, I like for both doors to have a pretty seasonal wreath to be enjoyed.
This wreath has the same bow, flowers and cattails but the fall foliage is different. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure which wreath I like better.
I would love for you to pin any of my pictures to Pinterest for others to enjoy!
Enjoy the posts from each day of the Fall Ideas Tour. You are sure to be inspired!

Paula, I like them both and love your door and porch.
You always make the prettiest wreaths, Paula! I love it!! XO
I’m loving your festive fall wreath, especially with your pretty plaid bow!
Love them both Paula, especially your choice of faux greens! I see you and I have the same taste in Fall ribbon too! LOL
Your wreath looks like something straight out of a store. So pretty. Great job!
Oh, I love them both Paula! 🙂

Such a pretty plaid ribbon – goes perfectly with foliage! Love it Paula!
Beautiful wreaths Paula!
Love your wreath and plaid is my fall favorite! (your porch definitely says welcome fall!)
Paula, both of your wreaths are gorgeous! I like how they are similar since folks can see both doors. Chippendale doors are not common in this area, but when I lived in Columbia, SC, there were many neighborhoods that had homes patterned after Colonial Williamsburg homes. And some of those had Chippendale railings. But I have never seen a door like yours! It is beautiful, especially dressed with your fall wreath!
What a beautiful wreath. I love the big bow!!
They’re both so perfect for the fall season and add a lovely touch to your already lovely home, Paula. I’m in the mood to decorate!
Your house looks beautiful for fall! I love the plaid ribbon with the wreath!
I love the wreath!!
Both are absolutely beautiful Paula! My poor door is still bare.
So pretty Paula! I love your entry, very welcoming!
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
It’s a lovely fall wreaths. I love all the inspiration.
I am a handyman and the fall is my favorite time of the year. All the decorations, (wreaths included) just makes a house a home. Both of them are beautiful. Thanks for the post.
I also love fall decor!
