Vacation Time on the OBX
Greetings from the Outer Banks. I’m on vacation this week and next with my mom and niece. My aunt, uncle, and their family are staying a few blocks away from us and we’re all having a grand time together. Another aunt and uncle are joining us mid-week, my sister-in-law is coming this weekend and so are Mr. SP and his dad. We’ll be here next week, too. It’s been a long time since I’ve spent two weeks at the beach.
My niece, Mama, and I love to craft. Yesterday we made necklaces out of washers and scrapbook paper. These were really easy to make. We used an exacto knife to cut the paper to fit the washer. We put a different paper on each side of the washer so that our necklaces are reversible. A quick coat of Mod Podge glues the paper in place. After a short drying time we flipped the washer to the other side and Mod Podged that paper into place. We even made a necklace for my cousin, Susan.
Here we are modeling our necklaces before a trip to Dairy Queen.
It sounds like you are having the best time. I love the beach and I loved it even more when I was ten!! The necklaces are SO cute and a really neat idea.
Keep the fun up!! 🙂

Wow. Sounds like you are having so much fun!
I just love those washer necklaces!
I totally remember being 10 years old, and sometimes I miss it dearly!
Keep having fun and be safe!!
We may be down there soon too! Have fun!

Was I ever 10 years old? Hmmm, let me see..
I loved going down to Manteo. There used to be a fabulous Christmas shop there that I understand is not in business anymore. Be on the lookout for Andy Griffith!
JEALOUS!!!
Cute necklaces! Love that picture of Reese looking for her name – so funny! Looks like y’all are having a great time!!
What an awesome trip! Boy, do I wish I was at the beach for 2 weeks. Fun times!!
