Valentine Table Decoration
Better late than never is what I have to say for Valentine’s decorating. One day I remembered that I had some heart towels, circa 1991, that I thought could be transformed into a table runner. Do you remember when hearts were the rage? Along with geese…and ducks…
I ironed them, put them on my table, and they worked perfectly for a table runner.
I glued some ribbon to a few candles and then added some heart napkin rings to complete a simple centerpiece.
Char of Grace and Favor sent the napkin rings to me years ago. Aren’t they pretty?
I had the ribbon in my craft stash making this a free project.
I’m glad I didn’t get rid of my 1991 craft show towels. I used to love to go to craft shows! Did you?
We are staying home for Valentine’s Day this year. Our plan is to grill steaks. What will you do to celebrate?
I’m sharing with Amanda’s Weekend Bloggy Reading party, Jen’s Weekend Wrap Up party, and Susan’s Metamorphosis Monday.
Paula, that is so pretty. I used to do craft shows a long time ago, also. I guess I need to search for my stash!
What a great idea. This looks fabulous. Hugs, Marty
When I’m traveling I will still stop in at a local craft show from time to time. Good thing you kept some of your stash from the “old” days. Have a great Valentine’s Day with Mr. SP
Great runner idea and I love the ribbon glued to the candles.
Happy Valentines to you and Mr. SP.
I think your table looks great 🙂
And I love that cute ribbon and those napkin rings.
Even though it will be Valentine’s Day our Monday will be just like any other for us…I’ll be taking my daughter to her pottery class and we’ll have a quick and easy dinner.
But earlier in the day my husband and I have planned a lunch date:)
Happy Valentine’s!
Jennifer
What a nice way to use something already in your stash. May you and Mr. SP have a great Valentine’s Day. I will be preparing dinner for my sweetheart on Monday. Haven’t decided on the menu yet, but hopefully it’ll be something very special!!
It looks great! 🙂 I would love for you to join us over at our link party here: http://www.bubblynaturecreations.com/2011/02/project-party-weekend-heart-shaped-ice.html
Have a lovely weekend!
I love your impromptu Vday table runner, Paula! It’s not Valentine’s Day yet, so I think you’re fine with the decorating. 😉 Love those beautiful napkin rings!!! I think grilled steaks sound great. T is working late on Monday, so I don’t think we’ll be doing anything.
Your table looks pretty…what a smart idea with the towels! I still love craft shows…anything handmade.
Hubby works late every night so I’m not sure what we will do. You can bet there will be no grilling outdoors for us! ;-D
XO,
Jane
Simple and sweet!
Following you back 🙂 The table runner is very cute!! Have a great weekend.
Hope you guys have a fabulous Valentine’s Day, Paula. 🙂 Thanks for linking up with me!
Very sweet! (and yes, I remember hearts, geese, and ducks!)
Kelly
It all goes together so well. Your family is lucky that you decorate for it. I never do.

Your metamorphosis is absolutely fabulous. I so hope that you enjoy every bit of it.

Great table, yes I was one of the ones with hearts & ducks. Like you I think I have them packed away somewhere.
