Valentine’s Day Cloche – Pinterest Challenge
For the first Pinterest Challenge of 2022, we are sharing Valentine’s Day Cloche decorating ideas.
For each month’s Pinterest Challenge, Cindy from County Road 407, picks a theme and then selects a picture from Pinterest to use as our inspiration.
If you arrived here from Cindy of DIY Beautify, welcome!
Our Inspiration for this Month’s Challenge
Our inspiration for this month’s challenge is from Crafting While I Wait.
This cloche is decorated for Valentine’ Day with:
- Vintage Valentine’s Day card
- Heart with paper ruffles
- Wooden spools
- Vintage Buttons
I couldn’t wait to make my own version to display in our living room.
Valentine’s Day Cloche Decorating Ideas.
I really like my version of our inspiration picture.
Our inspiration picture has a Valentine’s Day card and a hearth with paper ruffles. For my version I used two postcards that were sent to my great-great-aunt Willye.
This card has no message and the postmark can’t be read.
Willye received this card in 1907.
Willye married George, so Bert must have been her boyfriend in 1907.
I didn’t have any wooden spools, so in their place, I used a fabric heart that I made a few years ago.
Our inspiration picture used buttons under the cards. I chose to use vintage pins and clip-on earrings that belonged to Willye, her sister Fannie that raised my grandmother, and my grandmother.
The next post to enjoy is Kristin of White Arrows Home.
