Vintage Strawberry Purse
My aunt saved a lot of my grandmother’s things and recently gave me this cute purse that granny made in the 1980’s. I washed and ironed it and it’s my current new-to-me spring accessory.
The purse can be carried with either a short or long strap.
Granny made the applique and I think it’s incredibly cute.
I love the fabrics that Granny used for the strawberry detail.
The inside has plenty of room for my wallet and phone and even has a side pocket for extra storage.
My grandfather made the wooden handles.
Somewhere, buried deep in my attic, is a smaller version of this purse that Granny made especially for me. Mine is blue with my monogram on one side and something that I can’t remember on the other side. One of these days I’ll pull it out and show you.
Isn’t this a cute design? I think Mr. SP and I could team up to make another version of this cute purse.

What a treasure Paula, my sister in law would love it as she’s all about strawberries.
A blast from the past. I definately remember those purses. I had several of them.
How cool to have something like that of your grandmother’s! I love it. 🙂
So cute! Love the strawberries.
What a wonderful memory to have from your grandparents!
love it!

There are such treasures in your attic! Your strawberry purse is so cute, and I’m sure you and Mr. SP could come up with your own!
Your purse is so cute; I can imagine the hours your gram spent doing that applique–a skill I haven’t even attempted! It would be great for storing a small knitting/crocheting project in process, too!
Using it to store a knitting or crochet project is a great idea!
