Welcome New Neighbors with a Softsoap Gift Basket

How do you welcome a new neighbor? My standard delivery is cookies but not everyone enjoys sweets. Since moving can be dirty work, I thought I’d gift my new neighbors with Softsoap for their bathrooms and for their kitchen.
Have you seen the new varieties of Softsoap Liquid Foaming Hand Wash? They come in Whipped Cocoa Butter, Kitchen Citrus Bliss, and Jasmine and White Cotton.
I purchased mine at Walmart and found them in the personal care section. The main Walmart in my town featured them on the end of the isle in the personal care section and I noticed that the other two Walmarts in town carried the product in the body wash section.
To go along with the soaps, I also purchased a sponge and some dish towels for our new neighbor. I like to keep my sponge and soap in a vintage planter by my own kitchen, so my basket also included a planter. The planter keeps soap drips from getting on my counter.
I lined the basket with one of the towels and rolled the other three and tied them with a ribbon. Stamps were used to make a welcome tag for the basket.
After assembling the basket, down the street I went to welcome our new neighbor.
Do you see the building permit sign in the window? A lot of work is going on both inside and outside this home and I’m sure our neighbors will appreciate Softsoap at each sink when clean-up time arrives.
What is your standard gift for a new neighbor?

What a great idea Paula!! Those are things needed that sometimes get forgotten! 🙂

Thanks, Nancy. Our street stayed the same for years and years and now the neighborhood is slowly turning to be a younger crowd.

This is such a CUTE idea!!
That’s a nice gift basket. I usually give cookies too. This is a great idea.
What a good idea! I could do this and will certainly keep it in mind. I’m not a baker so cookies wouldn’t work for me.
It is a gift that is definitely easy to put together!

I love this idea! Such a nice thing to give to a neighbor – and so much more helpful than cookies. It’s amazing how many cleaning supplies you buy when you move!
There are about 8 houses being built in our neighborhood right now, and I was just thinking the other day what I can do for our new neighbors once they move in. This is a great idea!! #client
Thanks, Samantha! I plan on using this idea again. Sometimes I don’t have time to bake something for a new neighbor and this was really easy to put together.
