White Chocolate with Orange Cookies
When I make cookies I tend to make either chocolate chip or peanut butter. This weekend I decided to make a recipe that I haven’t made in a long while. White Chocolate with Orange Cookies are a mouth watering cookie, much enjoyed by us and a few of our friends.
**(See below for an easy to print recipe.)**
White Chocolate with Orange Cookies
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 T grated orange zest
2 cups (11.5 oz bag) white chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl cream the butter with the sugars until smooth. Add the egg and mix well.
3. Add the flour mixture and beat thoroughly.
4. Stir in the orange zest and white chocolate chips.
5. Drop by rounded tsp onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
6. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
7. Cool cookies on the sheets for 1 minute, then remove to a rack to cool completely.
Yield: 50 cookies
The pop of orange flavor combined with the sweetness of the white chocolate is heavenly.
A plate of these makes a great treat!
